  2. http://www.thsrc.com.tw/en/index.asp
    • Take the shuttle bus (ticket NT$30) from the airport to the High Speed Rail Taoyuan Station. Shuttles are available every 5-10 minutes. The ride is 15-20 minutes.
    • Take the high-speed train to Taipei. Travel time is 20 minutes. There are 3-4 trains every hour. A one-way ticket costs NT$160.
    • From the Taipei Station, if you do not like to use mass transportation (see info below), a cab ride to the neighborhood of NTNU costs approximately NT$180-200.
  3. Buses
    • There are several bus services available. The ride to Taipei takes approximately 50 minutes. Bus fares are NT$120-150.

  3. Buses
    • These buses stop right in front of the NTNU main entrance: 15, 18, 235, 278, 295, 662, 663, 672, and 907. Number 74 stops across from the side gate on Shida Road.

Practical Information

Money

  • We suggest that you change some money at the airport already. Many banks have services there, and some offer the same exchange rates as their branches elsewhere (such as the government-owned Bank of Taiwan).

Weather

  • Taiwan at the end of June is very hot and humid. The average temperatures during the day are 27-30 degrees Celsius (81-86 Fahrenheit). Almost all the buildings are air-conditioned.
